SOUTHERN AFRICA

Botswana

The Okavango Delta, and the last of Africa's true wilderness.
WHY GO THERE

A Different Kind of Wild

Botswana’s low-volume, high-value model means guests move through private concessions with barely another vehicle in sight. The Okavango Delta floods each winter, drawing predators and elephant herds onto its islands, while the Kalahari, Linyanti, and Selinda reserves offer something quieter still: black skies, ancient San heritage, and a silence that has its own weight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you go. Can’t find the answers you’re looking for? Please chat to our team.
Is Botswana safe for travellers?
Absolutely. Botswana is one of Africa’s safest and most politically stable safari destinations. The greatest “risk” isn’t crime, it’s remembering you’re staying in truly wild places. Your guide will brief you thoroughly, and following camp safety instructions is all part of the adventure.
When is the best time to visit Botswana?
There’s no wrong time, only different experiences. May to October: Cooler weather, exceptional wildlife viewing and the famous Okavango Delta floodwaters. November to April: Dramatic skies, newborn animals, incredible birdlife and fewer visitors. We’ll recommend the best season based on the wildlife, photography and pace of travel you’re looking for.
How many days do I need for a Botswana safari?
We recommend 7 to 10 nights to experience Botswana properly. This gives you time to combine different ecosystems, such as: The Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, Chobe National Park and The Makgadikgadi Pans. Moving between regions reveals just how diverse Botswana really is, with each destination offering a completely different safari experience.
What should I pack for a luxury Botswana safari?
Think comfortable rather than complicated. Bring: Neutral-coloured clothing, a warm jacket for early morning game drives (especially May to August), comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat, binoculars and a camera. Most luxury camps offer laundry services, so there’s no need to overpack.
Do I need to plan everything myself?
Not at all. That’s where we come in. From choosing the right camps and arranging charter flights to coordinating transfers, special occasions and conservation experiences, we take care of every detail. Every itinerary is designed around your interests, travel style and pace, creating a safari that feels completely personal rather than off the shelf.
